Staffing Stream: long-term relationships are key to recruiting success.

Enter conGone are the days of recruiting and hiring as purely transactional processes. The candidate experience has become much more robust and engaging, with opportunities to build lasting relationships and elevate a company’s employer brand.

Relationships and reputation are more valuable than ever in today’s market where workers are constantly on the move. In fact, Randstad Sourceright’s 2019 Talent Trends research shows that many job seekers (41%) will reapply to a company where they have been previously rejected if their candidate experience had been positive. They are also more likely to recommend that company to others (58%) and share their experiences on social media (39%).

“Engaging with candidates and delivering a positive talent experience not only expands your talent pool but can also have a significant business impact,” writes Sue Marcus, regional president of recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and managed services programs (MSP) for Randstad Sourceright North America.

"As for candidates who are hired, it’s equally important to focus on their experience as an employee, giving them ample opportunities to learn and grow. It’s important for employers to maintain positive relationships with former employees whenever possible."
