The gig economy – and gig workers – are here to stay. In fact, a recent Talent Trends study by Randstad Sourceright shows that 76% of human capital leaders are including contingent talent as part of their overall workforce strategy.
With this trend expected to continue, staffing agencies are now making it a priority to cultivate freelance, contract and temporary talent by offering career services. Some of these include exclusive talent communities, tailored job leads, resume assistance, and marketing strategies to promote top talent.
JoAnne Estrada, global head of contingent workforce solutions for the Randstad Sourceright Talent Innovation Center, explains that “gig workers often find little time to focus on the things that will best position them to land their next role.” Staffing agencies can also rise above the competition by offering benefit plans and streamlined payroll systems.
