APAC managing director, Anthea Collier, to discuss developing women in leadership and STEM roles during first-ever Women in HR Tech Summit at HR Festival Asia
SINGAPORE, 1 MAY 2019 — According to Randstad Sourceright’s 2019 Talent Trends research, the majority of employers in Asia Pacific see the value of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In fact, 78% of both working professionals and employers in Singapore alone say a robust diversity and inclusion strategy is important to the attraction and retention of talent.
To help HR leaders facilitate gender diversity in the workplace, Anthea Collier, Randstad Sourceright managing director for APAC, will present insights during two panel discussions during HR Festival Asia 2019 on May 8, 2019 in Singapore. The sessions will take place during the conference’s first-ever Women in HR Tech Summit, under the HR Tech track.
“Women in STEM: Educate, Retrain, Reskill”
Featuring expertise from Collier, Siew Choo Soh of DBS Bank and Dr. Jaclyn Lee of the Singapore University of Technology and Design, this panel will explore how HR leaders can boost women’s participation in the STEM fields to address both skills shortages and workforce gender inequality. Attendees will learn how STEM studies can ensure lasting career for women, especially in leadership roles. This session takes place on Wednesday, May 8 at 9:45 a.m.
“Climbing the Leadership Ladder”
Passionate about creating environments which nurture diversity, Collier will share her personal leadership journey and insights on the role of formal and informal mentorship in leadership development for women. Attendees will hear about HR’s responsibility in ensuring diverse and inclusive leadership, and how emerging women leaders can identify paths to development. Collier will join moderator Philippa Penfold or HRM Asia’s advisory board and Stacey Harris of Sierra-Cedar at 11:45 a.m. on May 8 to share insights.
