Insurance Business Magazine: high-performing organizations more likely to offer flexibility.
Research shows that the majority of companies do not engage employees in workplace flexibility discussions or consider their feedback regarding where work is performed. Those that do, however, are attracting and retaining good people.
Employees (and candidates) want a choice of remote or hybrid options, along with staggered hours if needed to balance life and work. Companies that understand this are finding top talent. Other companies — that have not changed along with worker expectations — are consistently falling short.
In fact, the 2022 Talent Trends Report from Randstad Sourceright, shows that 25% of surveyed companies suffered in profitability and customer service levels due to talent scarcity. Thirty percent say talent scarcity is “major pain point,” while 16% cite competition for top talent as an obstacle.
