Staffing Stream: implementing your first-generation MSP program.

To launch a first-generation managed services programs (MSP) successfully, the first step is selecting a partner and vendor management system (VMS). Following that, organizations need to turn their attention to the implementation of the program, such as assembling the project team and getting buy-in across the organization.

During the stage of implementation, Melissa Gaitten, VP, integrated MSP at Randstad Sourceright, recommends companies work with their MSP partners to “clearly map recommended phases to your program based on your drivers, current state and adoption.”

Organizations should also have an in-depth discovery session to determine who owns what tasks, as well as gather data such as hierarchy, cost centers, tracking staffing vendors and contracts.
