personnel today: HR leaders tackle long-term talent strategies.
Talent leaders in the U.K. bring distinct perspectives to today’s talent strategies, according to the Randstad Enterprise 2023 Talent Trends research, which surveyed more than 900 C-suite and HR leaders in 18 markets globally.
Notably, while 42% of global leaders consider talent scarcity a pain point, that number jumps to 76% in the United Kingdom. Yet, at the same time, U.K. leaders expect to invest less in strategies to overcome talent shortages. For instance, while 76% of leaders globally are focusing more on reskilling and career engagement, and 56% plan to increase spending on internal talent mobility platforms, only 44% of U.K. talent leaders expect to invest in internal mobility.
Similarly, despite concerns around skills shortages, only 52% of U.K. talent leaders are using analytics or technology to support their hiring and workforce planning decisions, compared to 72% globally.
