Danielle Geld | making work meaningful stories.
Danielle Geld, account leader — Canberra, Australia
working together toward shared goals
Setting your sights on goals and working toward them together with the client and team — that’s what I like most about my role as a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) account leader at Randstad Sourceright in Canberra, Australia. I am the proud leader of a driven and collaborative team of talent advisors and sourcing specialists. Together we support our clients to attract the talent they need to meet their strategic goals, improve their brand and innovate for their future world of work.
As a leader, I enjoy supporting my team to identify and reach not only our work goals, but also each team member’s personal and career goals. I like knowing that every day I have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to those I interact with and to continue to grow in my role as well.
a fulfilling career journey
I first started working for Randstad as a contractor in a temporary, internal recruitment role. After a few years, I heard about an opportunity with Randstad Sourceright. Serving as a senior talent advisor sounded like the perfect next step for me, with the right organization.
Immediately I began getting to know the key stakeholders and building trusting partnerships. In March 2020, I was promoted to the account lead position. This has been a very fulfilling experience — elevating the service level delivery and customer service engagement while leading an amazing and talented team.
working with people who care
I love working at Randstad Sourceright because we are all part of a big family of genuine, caring and supportive people, both in Australia and globally. Working here has afforded me so many opportunities to grow and develop in my career. I actively encourage my team to also take advantage of the wonderful opportunities available to all of us.
I appreciate how the management and work environment at Randstad Sourceright encourage us to put our health and well-being first. I always make a point of checking in with my team every day to see how they are doing, and I do my best to encourage them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
life beyond the workday
During the workweek, it can be easy to get stuck behind your desk in front of multiple screens. So every day, in addition to connecting with my team, I also take several short breaks to enjoy a healthy snack, make tea and, if the weather is nice, step outside for some fresh air or to water the garden. I find that fresh air and movement really help me reset, relax and unwind.
Outside of work, I enjoy high tea with my friends. And anyone who knows me knows that I love cooking and baking! One of my passions is creating multi-tiered cakes for special events. Over the years, I have made themed cakes for Halloween, Christmas and birthday celebrations.
a flexible attitude makes work great
To create a comfortable work environment, it is so important to be flexible and understanding, and remember that everyone is doing their best. It's important to learn about each other’s individual circumstances, their needs and challenges, and be there for support so we can all achieve a healthy work-life balance.
We’re growing rapidly at Randstad Sourceright and have a diverse portfolio of permanent and contractor recruitment positions, both in my team and across the company. If you’re interested, we are regularly recruiting remote talent throughout Australia.
