blazing new trails in India
With more than a decade of industry experience, I have been part of the Randstad Sourceright team for nearly four years. Over those four years, I am proud to have had the opportunity to drive transformation, change and growth for our organization in India. During my tenure, I have helped to establish the project management office and operation excellence function for the country.
representation matters
I often consider joining Randstad Sourceright to be a defining moment in my career. One of the many reasons I decided to accept a position with the company is its strong female leadership. Both our managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, Anthea Collier, and Rebecca Henderson, our global CEO at the time (now CEO of Randstad Global Businesses and executive board member) are highly motivating, strong female leaders who inspire me daily.
Unfortunately, I hadn’t seen that kind of representation at the top previously in my career at other organizations. It was really important to me, and I loved the idea of coming to work for a diverse and inclusive organization.
fueling health and well-being with flexibility
The global pandemic hasn’t been easy on anyone — it’s been a stressful time full of new ways of working, competing priorities and rapidly changing expectations. Everyone is struggling to find the right balance that works best for them.
For me, that balance means prioritizing health — both physical and mental — so that I can best contribute to my relationships both at home and at work. Daily walks are just one of the ways that I have started putting my health first during the pandemic. Randstad Sourceright’s culture of flexibility is a huge factor in helping me keep this focus. Working for an organization that trusts me to put myself first when needed and with the freedom to complete my work when and where it makes the most sense is truly empowering.
making time for growth
For me, happiness also means having the space I need to challenge myself and learn new things. In fact, it’s my motto: Say “yes” to things that scare you. It’s really important to take new risks. If you succeed, you will be happy. If you fail, you will be wise. And I’m grateful to have the ability to take those calculated risks in my role here at Randstad Sourceright every day.
