Randstad Sourceright walks across 5 countries for charity.
Randstad Sourceright’s employees in five European countries launched an international walking initiative to raise money for the children’s charity, SOS Children's Villages.
As part of Randstad Sourceright’s global focus on well-being, employees are encouraged to come up with their own individual and collective ways to stimulate mental and physical health, fitness and wellness.
One hundred and fourteen participants across 22 teams in five European countries together walked 24,209,935 steps! That’s an equivalent of 18,157 kilometers! Participants kicked off the walking initiative at the end of March in Rzeszów, Poland and finished four weeks later in London after also crossing Germany, Switzerland and France.
The journey included five points of interest along the way, and colleagues shared interesting facts about the countries, greetings from local colleagues or interviews with a senior manager around client success stories. Participants also enjoyed motivational music with a playlist from a colleague who is also DJ, fitness and well-being tips and tricks, client success stories, and even eye yoga.
“What a great initiative. It was awesome to see so many colleagues join and get more connected between different countries. The customer success stories that have been shared have been especially inspiring. It also really helped to stay active while working from home. Loved it,” said Jacqueline Booch, MSP consultant of the experience.
All in all, participants raised more than €1,500 for SOS Children’s Villages to also give young people the opportunity to better their fitness and well-being through access to places like indoor playgrounds, dance classes and more.
